THE NBA SEASONS IS NOW ONLY DAYS AWAY AND THAT MEANS THE TIME HAS COME FOR THE Heat TO TRY AND START TO PUT THE PAST BEHIND THEM. REMEMBER WINNING SOLVES EVERYTHING AND A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS YEAR WILL ERASE THE MEMORY OF THE 2011 FINALS. THE Clippers HAVE A GOOD ROSTER BUT ITS A BUNCH OF GUYS WHO HAVE ACCOMPLISHED NOTHING, EVEN Caron Butler WASNT APART OF THE MAVS CHAMPIONSHIP RUN. THEY WILL BE GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. THE ORLANDO Magic MUST KNOW SOMETHING THAT NO ONE ELSE KNOWS BY NOT TRADING Dwight Howard I MEAN GET SOMETHING FOR HIM. THE NBA SEASON WILL SHORTER BUT FOR SOME TEAMS IT WILL BE AS LONG AS USUAL. I DONT SEE ANYONE BEATING THE HEAT, NOT WITH THE CHIP THEY HAVE ON THEIR SHOULDER BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY WILL PLAY IN THE FINALS.

Since winning the 2000 BCS National Championship the Oklahoma Sooners under Head Coach Bob Stoops has been one of the most consistent footbal progams in America both good and bad. They have played in 3 national championship games in 2003, 2004 and 2008 all 3 loses. The big one was in 04 when USC embarassed them 55-19. Not to mention the consecutive loses to Boise State and West Virgina in the Fiesta Bowl. The Sooners were pre-season #1 and very well may still be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the country but saturday's lost to Texas Tech was just another chapter of Bob Stoops not getting the job done. When do we move on i mean its been over a decade now since he won the championship and has had more disappointments in big games than victories with a .500 winning percentage in bowl games. I think hes a great coach and shouldn't lose his job but he seems to not be able to win the big one.

LeBron James prides himself on being the best and that means defending the other team's best player. so i know he will accept the challenge of defending dirk. dirk hasnt seen anything like lebron all playoffs but miami will also have to find ways to score against dallas' zone defense those two matchups (dirk vs lebron and miami's offense vs dallas' zone defense) will determine the 2011 nba champs

i just watched the Thunder and Grizzlies game and Kevin Durant looked as if he didnt want to play at times let alone win. i sat and listened to analyst say how the grizzlies defenders didnt allow him to get the ball where he wanted it and the coach and Russell Westbrook need to do a better job of drawing and executing plays to get him the ball where he likes it. when bird Magic jordan dr.j or any other of the great players needed to get the ball where they wanted it in a big spot in a big game they went and got the ball and created space everytime and no they didnt make it everytime but they got a good look at the basket.

In order to be considered the best player in baseball you have to be able to use the glove and thats why a d.h. has and never will win the mvp award. the mvp of the nfl is always an offensive player oh i'm sorry a quarterback but they dont have to play any defense. but why are nba players considered to be top 10 players in the league or best at their position when they only play at one end of the floor. Steve Nash may be one of the best players and playmakers we have ever seen in the nba but the lack of defensive effort has to hurt his stock as the best player at his position....i am only using him as an example b/c i dont think lebron is too good of a defendedr either.

This week the Magic made trades that are hard to understand. First the trade of both Gortat and Pietrus is just mind blowing for the fact that Gortat gave you size which you didnt get in return and Pietrus was the only defender you had to put on the best perimeter player on the other team. Arenas is a streaky shooter meaning he needs lots of touches to be effective night in and night out, Richardson is good but everyone looks better than they really are playing with Steve Nash. And then there is Hedo, what can i say about Hedo that hasnt already been said about allnhe freshman that enter the NBA Draft he is one and done and considering he already had his one good year that means he is done. Coming into the season most believed they had a chance to contend in the east but so far they havent and with the additions and subtractions they made i'm still not a believer.

Last night was a clear example of why Wade Phillips wasnt the problem in Dallas. Roy Williams is going to put the game away with play he made and then it happens, a classic Cowboys play that has been the difference in them being in playoff contention and Wade having a job right now. If the Romo takes a sack and/or Tashard Choice doesnt let Deangalo Hall take the ball from him like he was a little boy in washington they win that game. They have 8 losses and 6 of them came on one play that changed the game. All those were plays made or not made by players not play calls or lack of discipline from a coach.

Last weekend the best football games were conference games in the SEC and Pac-10. I watched Big Ten teams practice against the scout teams, Texas lose at home to UCLA, Oklahoma struggle yet again against Cincinnati and Nebraska struggle against South Dakota State. Is NC State the best team in the ACC? After 4 weeks it seems that way or were the other teams in the ACC i.e. FSU, Georgia Tech and VA Tech over ranked?

MLB has a long season that most who arent die hard baseball fans dont seem to follow all that much until this time of year. But the biggest disappointment of the baseball season is not not watching teams that play in much tougher divisions like the Red Sox or one or two of the teams from the NL West or possibly the Braves not compete in october. MLB plays more games than both the NBA and NFL combined yet has the smallest playoff field. How about we cut the season short a month ending in august and expand the playoff field to 8 teams a league. Its sad that teams may win 90 games and finish with a better record than a team that won thier division and still not make the playoffs.

i watched a lot of preseason college football shows...and most experts said that acc football was back but what i saw yesterday was the complete opposite...ga tech lost on the road to a kansas team the had all new skill players and a new quarterback.....i watched oklahoma easily handle fsu who is supposed to be better this year but i didnt see that....jacory harris looked like a freshman against ohio st and if not for special teams that would have been a blow out and lastly va tech....losing on a neutral field to boisie st is one thing but losing at home to james madison is another and it wasnt a shoot out like app state and michigan this was a low scoring game that va tech defense played well enough to win but the offense took the day off....i may be wrong for passing judgement after just one week but yesterday was bad for acc football

Something has to be done about how the NCAA handles sports agents. In this day and age there are so many avenues to contact people and all of them can be done now on your phone. The days of face to face meetings and calling the "student athlete's" home are gone. You can skype, e-mail, text, facebook, myspace and instant message someone and not even leave a trail. But in every situation only the "student athlete is punished. After all the agent is supposed to be the mature adult of the situation but acts like an immature money hungry vulture. Where is their accountibilty?!!!!
